Although the backyard of this home provides a tranquil space from the busyness of the city and the major intersection which is steps away, the garden no longer functioned for the homeowners. The garden is enveloped in a canopy of shade, suffered from poor drainage and a large mature tree dominates the garden while straddling the property line leaving little room for planting. A design encompassing pea gravel, one-of-a-kind textured pavers and custom stone raised garden beds create a lush contemporary minimalist retreat for clients who are frequently out of town. An over-sized urn was converted to a custom water feature adding the soothing sounds of water to this beautiful refuge in the city.
